Since 1949, Modern Body Engineering has been a consistent source of high quality proactive die design for the automotive industry.  This knowledge breeds a) robust up-front hemming-product-design as we "design for manufacturing",  b) robust kick-off sessions as we perform die-feasibility and die-process studies, and c) powerful buy-off sessions able to work with the stamping-house to critique both the stampings and the stamping-tools.
 
Our processes  have produced  significant cost savings in:  reduction of engineering scrap, number of operations required, simplified machining/construction, die tryout, and long term die maintenance.
 
Product and Die-Face Surfacing:
  • Class-A & B design.
  • Draw-die-face-development of part-addenda, binder-wrap, beads and draw-bars.
  • Part-development and cam-view-layout for trim and flange dies.
  • Hem-development for creep, wrap, flange lengths and transitions.
