MBE began designing sheet-metal hemming equipment for the Big-Three in the 1950's, and stamping designs in the 1940's. Our hemming technology from the 50's - 80's was die/press.  The operations ran primarily in the panel stamping-die-press-lines, or near them.  The majority were split operations, with some combined back-to-back sliding-steel.

From the mid 80's to 2004, MBE engineered and  manufactured hemming systems for second-tier North American suppliers incorporating table-top technology.  During this time, MBE patented inverted-press-table-top technology with servo- power; still used today.
 
From 2004 to the present, MBE has produced a unique brand of hemming equipment, designed and manufactured with robust technology focused on eradication of roller-hemming issues that plague the common system.  Utilizing patented designs to control the pressures, control the panels, control the corner forms, control the mean-time-between-failures and control the costs, MBE has acquired a strong market share with a following that grows through customer awareness of quality, value and satisfaction.
